What we collect
- Order information – name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number, so we can take payment and deliver your order.
- Account information – if you create an account, your email address and order history.
- Payment information – handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- Technical information – IP address and browser details, recorded in server logs and used to keep the site secure.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We process order and account information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you. We keep records of sales because tax law requires it. Anything optional – marketing email, for instance – is done on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years, which is the period HMRC requires for tax records. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Who we share it with
Our payment provider, our delivery carrier, and the services that run this website. We do not sell your data to anybody.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work – keeping your basket and your login. These cannot be turned off, because the site cannot function without them. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, they will not be set until you consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time from the cookie preferences on this site.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
